Winery Eyteki Kúria

The Winery Etyeki Kúria was established in 1996 in the village Etyek, 20 km south of Budapest. The region Etyek-Buda is famous for its dry and sunny climate, which mixes occasionally with the cold air from the Pilis Mountains. The chalky soil and the special climatic conditions are the ideal terroir for fruity and rich wines.

The Winery owns 10 ha of own vineyards, a further 15 ha are cultivated by contractual partners. The main types of grape are the Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. However, the Hungarian grape Királyleányka also develops beautifully in the region around Etyek.

Our wine grapes are picked manually and transported in 20 kg boxes from the vineyard to the cellar, where they are carefully pressed in a modern pneumatic press. In February or March of the following year the wines will be bottled directly in the cellar on an own modern bottling machine. The Winery has a fermentation capacity of 1000 hectolitre in modern stainless steel tanks. In addition, certain valuable grapes are fermented directly in oak barrels in our 180 -year-old chalkstone cellars.

Modern technology and careful processing ensure that the special qualities of the region and the grapes are transformed into the rich bouquet and fragrance of our wines.
